The Mystery of Edwin Drood
EUSOG are proud to host the players of the Victorian ‘Music Hall Royale’ in their musical rendition and premiere performance of Dickens’ last novel, ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’.
Set in the mouldering cathedral city of Cloisterham, the mystery unfolds as you discover the intersecting stories of its characters. Cue a schizophrenic choirmaster, an eccentric reverend, fiery twins with geographically untraceable accents and many more wacky characters who all have one thing in common: reason to murder Edwin Drood.
Whodunnit? The audience decides. Once Drood has disappeared, the audience is asked to vote on key questions regarding the outcome of the plot. The company will then contrive an ending in accordance with your specifications.
Past productions of Rupert Holmes' ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’ have been phenomenally successful having won 10 Desk Awards and 5 Tony Awards (including Best Musical), it has proved a stalwart Broadway smash.
With over 400 possible endings and the kind of audience participation never yet to grace the Pleasance stage, we welcome you to ‘kick off your boots, loosen your corsets…and enjoy yourselves!’
• Please note that EUSOG strives to make all performances as accessible as possible. If you have any queries regarding additional needs please email firstname.lastname@example.org
