Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group was formed in 1961 by Edinburgh University students to promote and perform the operettas of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. Since then, EUSOG has expanded beyond this aim and entertained audiences with performances of both Savoy Opera and modern musicals. Today the society preserves its reputation for theatrical excellence and diversity by performing musicals such as "Fiddler on the Roof", "Jekyll & Hyde" and "Guys & Dolls" alongside the classic Gilbert and Sullivan operettas.

EUSOG also has the privilege of performing each year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with recent productions including "Spring Awakening", "RENT", "The Pirates of Penzance" and original writing "Guilds". Having just celebrated our 50th anniversary, we hope to continue our success for many years to come!
